What a Nightmare at the Hollywood Bowl
We parked near the Hollywood Bowl, and it was a nightmare on Hollywood Boulevard. Hollywood and Highland is a living acid trip, but we grabbed the shuttle. It took only 48 minutes to drive up Highland 2 miles. We could have walked faster. The overpriced Bowl is a treat, and I can say that it has become even stranger. Anyone who thinks that it has not known the meaning of "easy!" We missed half of the Stewart portion and were only 45 minutes late. What we did see featured eight or so "Broadway type want-to-be Lady singers." I guess they were the back-up vocals that he uses in his Vegas act. They were not so good. They got to sing by themselves, and this was a good opportunity to be excused for a bio-break. Rod brought out Jeff Beck at 9:50 pm, and they did five quick songs together. Rod saved the best for the last 20 minutes of the show. Then it was back to the long shuttle ride. At least I have my iTunes.
